Habitats is an event sponsored in part by SolarMitra, bringing together the different parts of the whole sustainability picture: ngo's, non profits, businesses, leaders, environment specialists, artists, musicians and YOU.

 

                              

Panelists on "Community forming" Steven Johnson, author of "Emergence" and Doug Rushkoff, author of "Cyberia", discussing emergent ways of mobilizing communities and technlogies on the web to facilitate such initiatives.

Habitats 2006 focused on the theme of the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn. A long abandoned waterway finds it source for inspiration and discussion at the Brooklyn Lyceum.
